About Kelly and Elysian Fields
Experience
Thank you for visiting Elysian Fields Experience. My name is Kelly Ramey, I
live in High Ridge, Missouri [near St. Louis]. I have been around horses
most of my life and have enjoyed many years and styles of riding. I'm
currently enjoying barrel racing -- you've got to be present in the moment
for that!
After reading Linda Kohonav's books Riding Between the Worlds
and The Tao Of Equus, I realized I was not alone in
knowing that horses have the ability to connect to us on a heartfelt level and they are the mirrors of our emotions -- even those emotions
we try to tuck away. In the Spring of 2005,
I embarked on a life changing
journey to becoming an Epona Approved Instructor. I was honored when I was
accepted to the EPONA Apprenticeship program where I have developed my
skills of facilitating Equine Experiential Learning (EFEL). I offer various
workshops (group & private) designed to guide you in your personal journey
of development. Experience with horses is not required, but for those of
you who are horse owners, I offer innovative ideas designed to teach you new
ways to communicate with horses. I am excited to be able to bring this
work to the St. Louis area -- we are ready.
About
Elysian Fields Experience -- The name comes from Greek mythology where
Elysian Fields was a place of paradise and peace for the gods. Webster
defines it as a place surpassing excellence as to suggest divine
inspiration. My goal is to create a sacred space for you to connect with
your inner strength and balance. A space where you can experience the
reconnect to your soul, experience authentic community and thereby open the
sacred space of possibility. All shown to us by the way of the horse.
